This cider is distinguished by its authenticity and quality, derived from a careful selection of native apples from the Basque Country, such as Txalaka, Urtebia and Goikoetxe, among others. Each variety provides its unique character and flavor, resulting in a balanced cider rich in nuances.

The production of Bereziartua Cider begins with the harvest of the best apples, picked at their optimal point of maturity. These apples, grown in the region’s green, fertile apple orchards, are hand-selected to ensure that only the highest quality apples are part of the process. Once harvested, the apples are washed and crushed, obtaining a pulp that is pressed to extract pure and fresh juice.

The resulting juice is transferred to large wooden vats, where a natural fermentation begins that lasts approximately four months. This traditional method, meticulously followed by generations of cider makers in Astigarraga, allows the cider to develop its distinctive character. Wood fermentation adds complexity and depth to the flavor profile, while maintaining the freshness and liveliness of the drink.

The final product is a golden yellow cider, with a fresh and fruity aroma reminiscent of ripe apples and floral notes.
